Ed Volk
 With more than 25 years in executive-level human resources, Ed is our resident expert on all things human resources including strategic planning, talent planning, employee development, succession planning and more. But his biggest strength - and passion - is recruiting, which is why he shifted from his tenure in corporate HR to full-time recruiting at Baldwin Gilman.
Throughout his career, Ed has hired well over 1,000 professional employees in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, financial services, professional services, high technology and R&D. He has held senior-level positions (such as VP of HR) at Clopay Corporation, Bartlett & Company and Coopers & Lybrand. At Baldwin Gilman, Ed focuses on recruiting for financial services and operations positions. He is the senior consultant and resident expert for recruiting process-oriented positions.
Ed's knowledge and expertise in total quality management, Six Sigma and process improvement has been instrumental in developing step one, "Defining the Process," of our Steps to a Successful Search series. According to Ed, "Sustained success in recruiting depends on a well-defined and effective process, where everyone involved knows his or her role and responsibilities."
Ed holds a degree from Western Illinois University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
